Mobile Forward Facing Camera Calibration
Recalibration of the forward-facing camera is vital for your vehicle’s ADAS. It can control the systems that alter the speed and apply the brake. Some systems even control steering. Recalibration is required whenever changing a windshield or camera, or when making changes or adjustments to the chassis. Your system will need to be calibrated whenever the windshield is replaced (regardless of whether it was unplugged or not) due to the angle change in the windscreen.
Static Forward-Facing Camera Calibration
Static camera recalibration is done using our precision calibration equipment—set up to hold a specific target board at Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specified measurements. This must be accurate to the millimetre in terms of height and distance from the camera or bumper. On top of all this, the board must be perfectly square to the vehicle.
Front and Rear Radar Calibration
Front radar calibration is when we use our precision sensors to align radar sensors in the bumper of the vehicle. We must place our reader at an exact distance and angle, ensuring it's perfectly square with the radar. These radars control critical systems, such as parking assist and emergency braking, which is why it is crucial to have such accurate calibration.
Rear View Camera Calibration
Some manufacturers have incorporated the classic rear-view camera into their ADAS. It helps to detect apparent objects while the car reverses. It’s also responsible for cross-traffic alerts and emergency braking in some vehicles. This is done using specific precision equipment to hold boards at the exact height and distance from the camera to calibrate to OEM standards.

ADAS calibration is the process of resetting and adjusting the sensors and cameras in your car's Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) to ensure that they are working correctly. This is important because a misaligned or malfunctioning ADAS can compromise your safety on the road.
It is recommended to get your ADAS calibrated after any major collision or repair work, as well as every two to three years as part of your regular car maintenance schedule. If you notice any warning lights or error messages related to your ADAS, or if you experience any unusual behaviour from your car's safety features, it may be time to have your ADAS calibrated.
The length of time for ADAS calibration can vary depending on the make and model of your car, as well as the specific systems being calibrated. However, most calibration procedures take between one to three hours.
